Once again, Gaymers' Camden Crawl returns to the streets, back alleys and gutters of London's backward gothic grotto, promising skirted blocks, collapsed torsos and a potential need for knee pads as it takes over the Locks and Taverns on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd May. Fresh from collecting the UK Festival Awards gong for Best Metropolitan Festival, the 'Crawl is establishing itself as a staple component to the summer schedule, with 2009 champions The xx, The Temper Trap and The Joy Formidable all featuring in the previous edition. Today sees the blocks bursting with the initial names to be drawn out of the musical horizon hat, with a varied splattering of rusty heroes and blood so fresh it'd go unscented at a Twilight convention. From Cornershop's chomped Indian indie twangs to the Bombay beats of Gold Panda, Camden's set to crawl with crazed musical clashes and compliments. Elsewhere on the bill, screamish Leodensian lunatics Pulled Apart By Horses, Teeside traumatists The Chapman Family and Brooklyn blog darlings The Drums will grace the small, smaller, smallest and sweatiest venues of NW1.The full line up thus far is as follows, with special guests and Roundhouse headliners still to come:
