Some rather wondrous news has seeped from the Truck Festival bunkers of Oxfordshire today. Having scooped Dots & Dashes' LP of '09 with their masterfully majestic No More Stories Are Told Today, I'm Sorry, They Washed Away, as well as blowing heads and roofs off at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire last November, the greatest Danes of the whole shooting lot Mew have been announced as highly worthy headliners of The Truck Stage. Filmed at Manchester's Academy 2 venue on their last UK stint, the breathtaking video below contains Bamse, a glimpse into the formidable future of one of this planet's best bands. Last year's edition saw indie enlightenment from the likes of The Joy Formidable, Crystal Fighters and The xx so expect further announcements to be similarly spectacular.
Truck takes place this year on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th July on Steventon's Hill Farm, with weekend tickets on sale presently for £80 (18+) and £60 (teens) here.
