Festival Frolics: Scarlet Footwear, Tropicalia & Summer Camp Trucking to Oxfordshire.

It is ever so good to we southern folk, good old Truck Festival. And it's getting on a bit these days, now in its 13th year although barring another smoggy ash cloud clogging up Danish airspace and preventing Mew from getting over to Abingdon all those going are, in the opinion of Dots & Dashes, rather lucky indeed. Following the festival's previous announcement, in which the likes of Esben & the Witch, Future of the Left and Egyptian Hip Hop were roped in, the run-down's now been bolstered by the likes of calypso shoegazers Is Tropical, the adorable Summer Camp and the rather aptly Bandwagonesque troupe, Teenage Fanclub. Further additions include the glaring pink eyes of Fucked Up, Brighton's ADHD-riddled duo Blood Red Shoes and a rather special Kenneth Anger soundtrack rework from Mercury Rev. Bloody hell.

The full line up for this year's bash now takes in:

Mew * Teenage Fanclub * Blood Red Shoes * Mercury Rev * Fucked Up * Future Of The Left * Darwin Deez * Freelance Whales * Chapel Club * Stornoway * Brontide * Dave House * Egyptian Hip Hop * Good Shoes * Is Tropical * La Shark * Summer Camp * Tellison * Wild Nothing * Bellowhead * Bob Harris * Esben & the Witch * Ms. Dynamite * Fonda 500 * Lau * Little Fish * Los Campesinos! * The Redland Palmino co. * This Town Needs Guns * Zinc

Truck takes place this year on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th July on Steventon's Hill Farm, with weekend tickets on sale presently for £80 (18+) and £60 (teens) here. And if you're feeling particularly environmentally sound, here too from Brown Paper Tickets.
