Festival Frolics: Floating Away With the Fairies & Peacocks, End Of The Road.

Last month, Dorset's greatest attraction besides musty B&Bs End Of The Road Festival announced that a slew of internationally electic artists would be headed for Larmer Tree Gardens to enthrall and inspire, ruffling a few peacock feathers in the process. Canadian down-tempo psych star Caribou, Yank cult figureheads Yo La Tengo and Israel's answer to Torche armed with flaming drumsticks, Monotonix were included last time around. Add to this year's splendid shindig third and final headliners Modest Mouse who continue to Float On a gushing foam of wonderment, even if Johnny Marr did misguidedly bugger off and join The Cribs. They were always better without him anyway. Other new additions include country bumpkins fresh from a drenching at this year's Camden Crawl Smoke Fairies, blog darlings Freelance Whales, estranged Radiohead sticksman Philip Selway and Brooklyn's bewitching Here We Go Magic.
