Far From Motown, Further From Junk. Manic Street Preachers, I'm Leaving You For Solitude.

The last time Black Forest's primary punk activist brigade Manic Street Preachers stuffed 'Solitude' into a song title, the outcome was a rather melancholic, polished pomp romp off of the overtly melodramatic Lifeblood of 2004. This time round, I'm Leaving You For Solitude, one of a myriad of B-sides to forthcoming single (It's Not War) Just the End of Love (13th September) recalls the uplifting acoustic stomp of Let Robeson Sing off the endearingly incoherent Know Your Enemy. This autumn sees the vociferous trio wade back into the fray with a snarling vengeance, as they ready their 10th LP proper, Postcards From a Young Man due for release on 20th September on, you guessed it, Columbia, knobs twiddled by, yep spot on again, Dave Eringa. Thankfully, James, Nicky and Sean then embark on a long-overdue UK tour calling at a handful of towns and cities you've only heard of through Match of the Day, dates as follows:
