With even the NME growing weary of Florence & The Machine's pastiche hippy schtick, rejuvenation is entirely necessary. And whilst Yeasayer's Dog Days Are Over rework added some Greenwich Village kudos to Welch's commercial, cack-handed, practically archaic single it's Michigan man Gilbere Forté that adds an über-produced sheen to proceedings in a bizarrely coherent recording. As frisky as Tinie Tempah, Forté boasts the undying pomp of Kanye West, and fortunately at the ripe age of 23, is yet to lose all that many of his marbles...
