Yet More Loved-Up Phoenix Sunset.

Following on from the undulating sundown streams of Love Like A Sunset throbbing at the aching heart of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, Part 3 proves a repetitious climax, eventually conking out after over eight minutes that meander through Detroit house thuds and chilling vocal reverb sounding similar to the echoes that rebound incessantly about the concrete entrails of Sónar. Not so much a progressive snapshot into the future of the Francophonic quartet, more an intrinsically apt reminder of quite why they've become as quintessential to quirk pop as makeup cakes and pseudo-drama are to the forever-nonsensical X Factor. The most vociferous fragment of the trilogy, Love Like A Sunset Part 3 is to Phoenix what The Two Towers is to Lord Of The Rings, what The Empire Strikes Back is to Star Wars. And it grips fairly excruciatingly to your attention throughout. Évidemment.
