Despite Gorillaz' latest chameleonic long player Plastic Beach being far from All Played Out, Albarn's cartoon troupe have announced that their forthcoming single, the Daley-featuring, inexplicably entitled Doncamatic (All Played Out) never to have washed up on their third record will be released on 22nd November. A typical genre-hopper, Doncamatic bounds about within soulful perimeters, ricocheting angularly off of melancholia and marching drums, Arabian vocal wafts and unfortunately, a distinct Albarn absence. More 90s than Never Clever, the track owes more to Stardust than Champagne Supernovas and Britpop star wars, and streams somewhere in this neck of the woods...
