Festival Frolics: Evan Dando on Hands & Knees, Camden Crawl 2011.

Expanding essentially as it draws forever closer in the diary, days between now and this year's Camden Crawl can be counted. Not on just the one hand, but the tally only racks up 37 days. It's of the essence. And as such, besides all the visual art, spoken word and comedy lovingly curated by a plethora of associations all jostling for your attention, ours is focussed wholeheartedly on the musical side to proceedings, which this year has been bolstered by the announcement of the HMV Forum line up. Hosted by Xfm, Saturday features the likes of Wichita heartthrobs Frankie & the Heartstrings, estranged Rascal Miles Kane and Mercury-nominated Villagers, whilst Sunday welcomes Fyfe Dangerfield's Guillemots to the fray, sharing the sticky stage with Wolf Gang and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. But crack out the party poppers and aim away from faces, as Evan Dando and The Lemonheads are to headline. Further new additions include the now-dubious facial hair-friendly Razorlight and urbane urbanity from Yasmin. They join headliners Simian Mobile Disco, British Sea Power and Saint Etienne atop a bill that already takes in anything and everything from Sarabeth Tucek to SBTRKT, Comanechi to CREEP.

The full musical line up thus far looks something like:
