Festival Frolics: Suedehead for Paddock Wood, Hop Farm.

Forget Suede reuniting, this year's Hop Farm Festival now boasts Suedehead. Morrissey is to headline Saturday night of this year's event. If your jaw weren't already on the floor, the likes of Velvet Underground groaner Lou Reed, senior gyrator and cronies Iggy & The Stooges and bona fide indie goddess Patti Smith are all set for the 4th annual bash, taking place over the weekend of 1st and 2nd July. Other new additions include prime Slough gritpop from young hopefuls Brother, the rejuvenated Gang Of Four, suave New Yoikers The Walkmen and the quite wondrous Erland And The Carnival. Flabbergasted by the line up itself, imagine a weekend (just) outside the city that reads like the greatest of Mojo annuals. Then there's all the previously announced acts we jittered over previously.

This year's quite phenomenal line up now looks something like:

Friday
Eagles * Bryan Ferry * Brandon Flowers * Death Cab For Cutie * 10cc * Jimmy Barnes * City And Colour * Transfer * The Human League * Ocean Colour Scene * The Walkmen * Stornoway * Erland And The Carnival * Treetop Flyers * Steve Smyth *
