Festival Frolics: Hopping Down In Kent, You'll Wish You Went.

If last year's Hop Farm demonstrated that you could revel wholeheartedly in contemporary folk without so much as a mention of Mumford & Sons contrivance, this year's bash looks to the past to conjure a future that is, at this point in time, one of the most enticing line ups of the coming summer. Headliners already include what reads like the walled placards of the Hard Rock Café's most revered branch: from Morrissey to Iggy, Lou to Patti and Bryan Ferry, the Main Stage boasts an astounding weekend's worth. New additions to the line up however, similarly, are unfathomably excellent. Manu Chao brings the La Ventura tour to the Big Tent, whilst also joining him under sweltering Sunday canvas are bespectacled Blur guru Graham Coxon, Wichita upstarts Frankie & the Heartstrings and, quite bizarrely, James frontman Tim Booth. Amongst other new additions are London dustbowl howlers The Duke Spirit, Fyfe Dangerfield's Guillemots and hotly tipped Antipodean act Cloud Control.

The full musical line up, divided by day and stage, is now something like:
