Love is a Number, and Equates to Further Love for Battlekat.

A little while ago we harped on about the latest grimily produced blog phenomenon to cower behind a cloak of anonymity. That was Just A Number 05272011. Then when the Casios bleeped, ringing in May 27th, Just A Number 05272011 became Battlekat. As with Summer Camp, Silver Columns etc ad infinitum before them, the moniker alteration and subsequent admittance into the tangible world most of us chose to inhabit every once in a while was met with varying levels of amusement, bemusement, and indifference. Regardless, the hounding aural threat that emanates from the Danish quartet is as glowering as it ever was, especially when given a clattering, ominous rework courtesy of Bristol producer Hyetal (for which see, or rather hear his remix of He Didn't Want A Lovesong, streaming below). Palpable crescendo is achieved effortlessly as throbbing beats underly warped, quintessentially Scandinavian vox. Once just a number, now an emotion-engulfing black hole of premonition.
