On the Horizon: Schmoozing w/ Hunt In Pairs.

Allegedly hailing from the exotic Republic of Cape Verde (if their newly fabricated Soundcloud page is to be believed, and we're not entirely sold by this without slightly more conclusive proof), the first rummage around in the collective mind of Hunt In Pairs bears a particularly tropical fruit in the abnormal shape of Slow Dance. Opening with dissonant howls of guitar that recall both Interpol's Take You On A Cruise and the sort of whale song that must clog up the majority of David Attenborough's iPod (filed next to Biophilia of course), muggy atmospherics and sticky vocals soon overwhelm the track, before lyrics of sailing like a swan and sinking like a rock break out like a rash induced by contact with equatorial tree sap over glinting, scintillating guitar lines. Constructed by excellently named lead vocalist and guitarist Zan Crabbe and 'multi-instrumentalist' Jake Jubba, expect to indulge in more sweltering mugginess from the 'two musical soulmates' in the foreseeable.
