Superb Nova, Burial + Four Tet.

Seeping out overnight – the hours in which you suspect William Bevan (aka enigmatic underground mogul Burial) is at his most proficiently proactive – was and is Nova: the alleged 13th release on Text Records, the label with its backside booted into gear by none other than Kieran Hebden (again, aka Four Tet), the track uploaded to Hebden's Soundcloud recalls the brightness within latest full-length There Is Love In You were it peppered with the murky 2-step slump of a certain someone. Whilst its compulsive skiffle and Asiatic twangs may not represent the duo's first marriage of light and dark, of bright and murk it's arguably their most cohesive collab to date. Revel to its subdued rave now; snaffle it up on inevitable vinyl later...

Four Tet plays July's Bloc.
