On the Horizon: ReJoyce, Keep The Lights On.

Irrevocably immaculate pop is reasonably hard to come by these days. However like stumbling upon a corner shop in raging wilderness having only encountered deluding mirages for weeks here's some icy, effervescent stuff from Sarf Landan's Katherine Fussey, aka Joyce. Indeed although now signed to Island, the label too happened upon her rather fortuitously via this here medium of t'internet. The niece of the creator of Ziggy Stardust's iconic, forever-immortalised hairdo and the daughter of Roxy's sound engineer, if her connections nod back to decades past the path she's currently paving points incontrovertibly toward the future: Keep The Lights On, a radical take on one of only few highlights from the Wave Machines' debut full-length Wave If You're Really There, is expected April 30th and unites gelid guitars redolent of The Cure's Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me with temperate summertime synths. However it's Fussey's lightly manipulated vocal gusts that blow open the doors of intrigue for this burgeoning 21-year-old songstress may yet become some latter-day Lady Stardust...
