Following the initial Truck Festival announcement proclaiming the festival-exclusive coup of Danish dream weavers Mew, the line up for the Oxfordshire bash just got a whole load more quixotic. Taking place from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th July on Steventon's Hill Farm, the great Danes will be backed up by the likes of hallucinatory doom mongers Esben & the Witch, the ingenuous guile of Oxford's very own Stornoway and once leading lady of UK grime, Ms. Dynamite (teeh-heeh). Other noteworthy additions nailing themselves to the bill include riled Welsh alt.aggressives Future Of The Left, compatriots of a somewhat more subdued composition Los Campesinos! and the post-Late Of The Pier goofball pop of Mancunian youves Egyptian Hip Hop. In short, there's a fair few stars currently scratching against the stratosphere of the blogosphere in amongst the lorries and cow sheds of this year's Truck Festival.
Weekend tickets on sale presently for £80. There's also a stash of teen tickets, priced at £60 which you know, is nice. They're available here as of now.
For more info or clearer explanations, the Truck Festival official site is a fairly surefire starting point... With more additions wickedly this way coming, it's all looking rather rosy over in OX13.
