Festival Frolics: Filling the Blanks.

Seemingly half of London geared up for a lengthy hangover of headaches, heartburn and sunburn following last weekend's Primavera Sound Festival. Suffice to say, the festival season has reared its resplendent head once again. Whilst over on foreign soil, Bono's back gave way to Gorillaz' debut UK festival appearance, Download added a further slew of ear drum obliterating acts and Britain's quietest and quaintest laid down their hands, completing their estive rundowns. Click away on names to be whisked away to official sites, photos for tickets!

End Of The Road
Dorset's bestest bash, End Of The Road completes its September line up, adding the boozy drawls and scruffy swagger of Adam Green, Orange Juice man and Gaelic seducer Edwyn Collins, rustic darlings Woodpigeon and Syracuse sweethearts Ra Ra Riot. For those in need of a bass-heavy ramshackle chaos, Pulled Apart By Horses foot the bill before Ólöf Arnalds soothes any September blues. End Of The Road's 5th Anniversary surely seems the idyllically adequate way to sign off another summer spent wallowing in filth, writhing in musical ecstasy.

Green Man
Picking up where Latitude left off before booking in Vampire Weekend as premature bill toppers, Brecon's Green Man Festival not only boasts one of the most aesthetically pleasing designs, but also offers a holiday amidst the 'Beacons and has one of the most endearingly kitsch line ups that simultaneously hits harder than Cheryl Cole in the ladies. With latest additions including Dots & Dashes' preferred hazy summer soundtrack courtesy of the glistening knobs of Gold Panda, superstar record spinner DJ Yoda and Brighton Heartbreakers Metronomy joining the dots beneath stellar headliners Joanna Newsom and The Flaming Lips, it's all looking rather rosy for August in Brecon.
