Crystal Castles don't quite meld together like pick'n'mix even with the aid of some slightly shoddy Photoshop skills. The Sonic Youth main man giving Alice Glass' haunting chants, motored by cascading, disconcerting Jazzmaster shrieks a rather radical once-over is as unnerving a listen as a Crystal Castles show on a dodgy acid trip on board a Boeing 747 headed directly for the oozing heart of Mt. Etna. Of course, Pitchfork got their clasping fists on it first...
