When thinking of Sheffield, many weird and few wonderful things may come to mind, although funk presumably doesn't feature all too prominently amongst said things... Yet a retro, neon-daubed funk troupe is precisely what Shake Aletti are. From Lunch Break Funk to Tinie Tempah reworks, they're at worst an intriguing proposition, at best a quintessentially British Plant Life cross-pollinated with tongue-in-cheek boxfresh Fresh Prince of Bel Air insolence. Digital Connection is Daft Punk dueling with Jamiroquai armed with USB sticks instead of lances etc.
