Festival Frolics: Hotel California for Hop Farm 2011.

Last year Kent's Hop Farm sunk its teeth into the festival circuit with venomous intent, booking a raspy Bob Dylan, besides a resurgent Blondie and somewhat more youthful folksters Villagers, Devendra Banhart and Laura Marling. A review of last year's adventures can be found here. This year the festival returns with a slew of heavyweight household names, as Californian soft rock vets The Eagles are booked as a UK exclusive, bringing their melancholic surf stylings to the sleepy surrounds of Paddock Wood. Elsewhere, fresh from his gloriously despondent Olympia LP of yesteryear, Roxy Music man Bryan Ferry is to play a rare solo slot at the festival, whilst Ben Gibbard's Death Cab For Cutie return to the fray. Rounding off proceedings for the time being are Killers head honcho Brandon Flowers and melodramatic Manc types 10cc.

The full line up thus far includes:

The Eagles * Bryan Ferry * Brandon Flowers * Death Cab For Cutie * 10cc
