Festival Frolics: Knee Pads a Go-go, Camden Crawl 2011.

Whilst many festival dates penned in diaries disappear from one annum to the next, this year's Camden Crawl marks the event's tenth anniversary. Best bring gifts of a tin/aluminium chemical composition if you're planning a jaunt down to Camden Town come the May Bank Holiday Weekend then... Taking place inside/outside/atop innumerable venues/bars/pubs/alleys/locks located predominantly although by no means exclusively along Camden High Street, the initial line up announcement contains some altogether excellent acts, some of which we may as well go and wax lyrical over this very instant.

We're particularly excited by the prospect of having our ears bashed into submission by Leeds rioteers Eagulls, whilst similar raucousness ought to be provided by Young Turk triumph and Dots & Dashes fave SBTRKT. Then there's genre-splicing wunderkinds Visions of Trees, grimy disconcertion courtesy of Becoming Real and North East antagonism provided by Kingsley's visceral The Chapman Family. Elsewhere, Wichita darlings Those Dancing Days feature, alongside frantic labelmates set to hijack the album chart this week, Frankie & the Heartstrings, whilst general raucousness is provided by Bristol's retro vets Turbowolf and the perpetually excellent Banjo or Freakout.

The initial line up announcement includes:
