If Born This Way was Lady Gaga's most throwaway, formulaic dross to date, she's righted a fair few wrongs with this here remix. Or rather Floridian George Lewis Jr., aka Twin Shadow has, ripping everything away and throwing the aforementioned dross to the dogs barring Gaga's growl, spreading it over lavish funk backdrop beamed in from 1989. He's even managed to inject a whole new underlying chord progression in there. Kudos. Prince chic meets synth sleaze in a quite retrospective rework that's questionably the best Gaga rewiring to date. Bettering anything and everything on The Remix, at any rate.
