A little while back an anthemic disco behemoth by the name of Open Your Eyes cropped up on our radar, a collaborative effort between Alex Metric and Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia fame. In vain, we attempted to prize the name of the track's world-renowned vocalist through the medium of email and although the original instrumental version was hailed by Pete Tong as requiring of its own festival given its sheer grandiosity, with the rather special addition of Ian Brown's vocals the rolling, undulating electro that lies beneath King Monkey's weather-beaten drawl assumes all new levels of exhilaration.
