So Baby, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti.

Not strictly a new one per se (Baby was first etched into both vinyl and earthly existence back in '79) but by golly gumdrops and all that saccharine stuff is it a good one. Nah; a great, teeth-rotting, eye-boggling, ball-busting one [balls busted by excessive sensuality]: Ariel Pink doth return, this time with Los Angeles' self-professed "Ambassador of Boogie Funk" Damon G. Riddick, aka Dām-Funk in tow to lurch, crackle and croon through this timeless Donnie and Joe Emerson number. Sounding more like a roughed-up remaster than a concerted rework, perhaps its most startling impact arises from the reality that it was recorded this year, or indeed this century for that matter.

Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti return with a spangly full-length by the name of Mature Themes come August 21st...
