Goddamn invigorating are
Bare Pale – a gallingly young London duo who had us from
the first blast of Mexican Wave. It's one of our standout tracks of this swiftly disintegrating year thus far, and latest offering, I Never Could, does nothing but enhance the pair's rep for squalid, yet somehow lucid lo-fi stylings. Like gum beset with gravel stuck to the underside of shoegaze, it's an unintelligible blur of woozy beauty that has again got our attentions lodged in the best of possible spots.
