Scrambling VHS, Surfer Blood.
Although it's officially Autumn, Surfer Blood still reek irrevocably of summer and perhaps more subjectively, of filthy-cheap cañas of Estrella Damm and this year's Primavera Sound. Bizarre then that Floating Vibes, wondrously melancholic and ethanol-addictive though it is, should get a wintry release. Stranger still, the Florida pop minstrels are set to globetrot alongside Interpol once the days get darker, the nights longer. See above for the G. Warner-directed 'Best Of The Public Access Channel' vid, featuring John Paul Pitts adorned in more faux-mustaches than a Carlos D convention and Thomas Fekete looking a little more prepubescent than he did on the Pitchfork stage a few months back (again, a tad unnerving), below for Interpol support dates.
